DAVOS COMPASS
Your saved routes
Routes you save here are stored only in this browser on this device. They are not synced to an account or server.
Clearing site data or using another browser removes saved routes. This is a planning aid only—not live trail status.
What these decision labels mean
Compact catalogue planning signals—always verify lifts, access, grooming, and conditions on official destination sources. Not live status, GPS navigation, or safety certification.
- Track row
- A single published hiking or biking route with distance, time, and start-point metadata—not a resort sector map.
- Area / sector row
- An alpine ski or snowboard sector for desk-side planning—not one groomed piste line or live piste status.
- Trail map / network row
- A trail-network or map overview (for example a bike map)—pick specific legs on the official map; not one rideable GPX here.
- Planning cluster row
- A catalogue corridor or cluster used for trip framing—confirm the exact path and access on site.
- Suitability profile
- Who the catalogue row suits (family, scenic, short outing, advanced)—planning hints only.
- Access friction
- Simple, moderate, or complex start access from catalogue signals—not live lift or parking availability.
- Access dependency
- Lift, public transport, parking, none, or verify—what you may need to reach the start; confirm operations locally.
- Backup fit
- Whether the row works as a day-plan backup if plans change—prefer easier catalogue rows when marked poor.
- Planning confidence: source
- Structured planning copy came from the official destination reference.
- Planning confidence: inferred
- Guidance was derived from catalogue fields when no dedicated planning notes were stored.
- Planning confidence: verify
- Treat catalogue planning notes as unverified until you check the official source.
- Not live status
- Status and intelligence labels describe catalogue editorial signals—never current grooming, lift, or trail operations.
Saved routes are read-later bookmarks on this device only. Reopen route pages online to load the current published catalogue row.
Sharing needs a browser with copy or native share support.
This link opens the shortlist page only. Routes saved on your device are not included.
Back to route finderDay planOffline route catalogue (stale snapshot)
Read-later preparation from a fixed catalogue bundle—not live trail, lift, grooming, or safety status. Verify official sources before you travel.
Install & app freshness
Add Davos Compass to your home screen for quicker access to preparation tools. Installation is a convenience shortcut—it does not guarantee offline access, live mountain status, or synced data across devices.
Install on this device
Home-screen install opens the site in a standalone window. Saved routes and day plans stay in this browser’s localStorage; they are not uploaded or kept current automatically.
No install prompt on this browser yet—use the steps below. This is a web shortcut, not a store-distributed native app.
Install on common devices
- iPhone/iPad (Safari): Share → Add to Home Screen. Open from the icon—not a native app; no push or background GPS.
- Android (Chrome): Menu (⋮) → Install app or Add to Home screen when offered. Same browser data; not synced across devices.
- Desktop (Chrome/Edge): Install icon in the address bar, or browser menu → Install Davos Compass. Refreshes like a normal tab.
Offline catalogue = fixed stale route bundle in service-worker cache. Read-later plan = your device-local day-plan snapshot. Neither is live mountain status, official safety guidance, or synced across devices.
App shell & offline catalogue freshness
- Service worker shell cache: davos-compass-shell-v6 (not active yet—visit online to register)
- Offline catalogue bundle: not cached yet (open online or use Refresh catalogue bundle below)
Cached shells and bundles may be stale—not live trail, lift, grooming, weather, or safety status. Always verify official destination sources before you travel.
To refresh only the catalogue bundle or clear Compass service-worker caches, use the offline preparation cache controls—they do not remove device-local preparation data. #offline-cache-panel
Reloads this tab only. Does not clear localStorage or Compass offline caches unless you use the separate cache controls.
Device-local preparation data
Davos Compass does not use accounts or cloud sync. The items below are saved only in this browser on this device.
No account · no background sync · exported plan files are yours to keep · offline catalogue may be stale · not live trail, lift, grooming, weather, or safety status.
On this device right now
- Saved routes (shortlist): none
- Day plan slots: empty
- Read-later snapshot: none
Import paste text lives only until you reload or leave the page. Export creates a file or copied text you control.
The offline route catalogue is a fixed bundle cached by the service worker. Clearing preparation data below does not remove that cache—use the offline preparation cache controls (#offline-cache-panel).
Offline preparation cache
Davos Compass caches a small offline shell: the stale route catalogue bundle, read-later HTML shells, and icons. This is separate from saved routes and day plans stored in localStorage on this device.
Cached catalogue and shells may be stale. They are not live trail, lift, grooming, weather, or safety status. Always verify official destination sources before you travel.
To clear saved routes, day plan slots, or the read-later snapshot, use the device-local preparation data controls—they are not removed when you clear offline cache here.
Compass offline cache on this device
Cache Storage is unavailable in this browser. Offline catalogue shells may still work while online.
- Service-worker caches: none detected (may repopulate on next visit)
- Catalogue bundle in cache: not detected (open online or refresh when connected)
